She was born in Santa Monica, California on 26 November 1986. She is the child of her father Vincenzo and her maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. Red Bank Catholic High School is where she received her education formal in New Jersey. She continued her education in Catholic University where she earned the degree of bachelor of architecture. She also played the violin from the age of four and was referred to by the name of Violin Lady. As a result of her music performance, she was referred to as Violin Girl. Also, she was instrumental teacher to the youngsters in the area. She also sang Free beginning in 1976 during her audition for America Idol's 6th season, at the age of 19.
