Becki Newton

The birthplace of Becki Newton was New Haven, Connecticut, Becki Newton was raised within Guilford, Connecticut. She's English and Czech descent. She began putting on performances and musicals at local theaters. She then was a student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. European History. Newton took part in his fellow members of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Penn. Newton, after graduating from Penn University in 2006 transferred to New York City where she found roles on TV for organizations like Olive Garden. Newton played the character Amanda Tanen in the comedy-drama show Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010. Newton hosted the Ugly Betty Podcast together with the co-star Michael Urie. In addition, she was a part of ABC.com ?Ts Mode After Hours Webisode Show. Ugly Betty, which had the distinction of having four seasons that were successful it was canceled in the year 2010. The cancellation allowed the show to finish with a satisfying finale. In late 2009, Newton performed at an New York City Center Encores! production of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy, which was directed by Jerry Zaks. Newton was the character Molly Gray and performed opposite the husband of her life, Chris Diamantopoulos. Newton appeared on the tv series Love Bites. Cindy Chupack created the hour-long romantic comedy. She worked as an executive producer on Sex and the City. NBC had first announced plans to acquire Love Bites in May 2010. However, after Newton disclosed her pregnancy and co-star Jordana Spiro was legally bound by her Show My Boys to carry on the show this show was brought forward until the middle of season.
